Ružinovské fašiangy

This year, the Ružinovské Fašiangy returns to the popular Miletičova Market. On Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. visitors can look forward to music, dance and traditional delicacies, while the event combines folklore, gastronomy and culture for everyone, regardless of age.

"Miletičova Market is a place that combines traditions, culture and community. The Ružinov carnival is a great opportunity to enjoy the carnival atmosphere together and meet friends and family," he said. the mayor of Ružinov, Martin Chren.

A program that will please everyone
The program starts at 9:00 a.m. with a performance by the Karpaty folklore ensemble, which will introduce traditional carnival customs. Visitors can look forward to the singing of songs by the mask procession, the cheerful dance of the bursovniks from Liptovský Sliače and a humorous demonstration of the burial of the bass - a custom that symbolically closes the carnival.

At 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. music will be performed by the Kuštárovci band, which has been active on the Slovak scene since 1991 and has performed thousands of performances at home and abroad. Primate and singer Peter Kuštár, second violin and vocals Martin Kuštár, viola Peter Mikulec and bass Tomáš Gašpierik will bring carnival songs, folk melodies from various regions of Slovakia and Romani compositions.

In addition, the event will also include traditional homemade butcher specialties and demonstrations of the production of meat products, which will delight all lovers of Slovak kitchen.
