We cordially invite you again to the travel presentations Cesta necesto in Ružomberok, where you will see 3 presentations from 3 different worlds. Mili will take you to New Zealand for a year, you will get to know the natural beauty of Japan with Miša, and you will climb the 7134-meter Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan with Janka. That's an evening full of adventure.
18:00 Milada Konečná – Unbound New Zealand
Come and take a ride with me and my campervan across New Zealand for 5 months. We will travel thousands of kilometers through the untamed landscape of both Zeeland islands, where thousands of sheep will wave our way. We will swim in glacial lakes full of ice crystals while enjoying the view of the highest mountain, Mt. Cook. In the city of adrenaline, Queenstown, we will see the Remarkables mountains while parachuting, we will walk through Hobbiton, Mordor, but also Mount Doom from The Lord of the Rings. We will dance their traditional war dance haka with native Maori, observe penguins, seals and feed tiny kangaroos. We will visit 12 national parks, but we will also try hard work on kiwi farms. Fasten your seatbelts, it will be an unforgettable ride!
19:20 Michal Knitl – The most beautiful mountains of Japan
We will start the journey in the very north of Japan, on the small island of Rishiri, from where, after climbing the volcano, we will get to know Hokkaido, which is the wildest and least populated island of the large Japanese islands. Subsequently, we will move through Honshu with the Japanese Alps and Kyushu with hot springs to the small island of Yakushima with a cedar forest, from where we will return to Osaka. I tried to spend as much time as possible in nature, and during the presentation you will learn about the most beautiful of the 18 hikes and 330 kilometers in the mountains that I covered during two months.

< br/>20:35 Jana Vaňková – Ascent of Lenin Peak (7134 m)
After the successful ascent of Ama Dablam (6812 m) in Nepal in the spring of 2023 and the unsuccessful ascent of Ojos del Salado (6893 m) in Chile in February 2024, when I turned around at 6500 m at sunrise, I decided on another expedition, in the summer to Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan. For me, the first seven thousand, according to Google, should be easy. But when we arrived at the base camp, we faced the reality. Avalanches, falling stones, frequent rescue operations, constantly changing conditions on the glacier, countless cracks, but also a lot of fun. How did this expedition turn out? You will learn that at this lecture 🙂
