The knight season of 2026 will begin at Devín Castle on Saturday, June 6.
We will play performances from various historical periods and a Renaissance knight tournament.
And what will the program be? Bohatý!
♣️ 10.00 – Opening of the gates of Devín Castle
♣️ 11.00 – Opening ceremony
♣️ 12.00 – Performance Richard the Lionheart
Fencing and theater medallion dedicated to this important personality of the Middle Ages and the events that preceded his capture in the territory Austria.
♣️ 13.00 – Renaissance dances
The story set at a ball will reveal many human qualities and the beauty of the court Renaissance dance.
What are noble ladies willing to do to get the attention of an important gentleman? Almost anything.
♣️ 14.00 – Presentation The Secret of the Slavic Sword
A story from the Slavic environment, which is related to the archaeological find of an old sword.
♣️ 15.00 – Krak the Jester and his shenanigans
♣️ 16.00 – Renaissance Knight Tournament
Knight tournament in the style of the Italian tournaments “La giostra".
4 knights and their knights fight for the audience's favor in tests of skill and courageous clashes in the knightly duel.
Equestrian performances alternate with dancing, pike practice and fencing duels.
♣️ 17.30 - Recital of period music, prose and poetry
Selection of prose and poetry performed by fencing master Petar Goat accompanied by live music from the period.
♣️ 18.30 – Final ceremony full of sword fights, dancing and waving flags
♣️ 19.00 – End of the event and closing of the castle
All kinds of entertainment and pastimes will be available throughout the day:
🏹 shooting range with bows, with crossbows and throwing knives
🐴 riding a live and wooden horse
🏐 children's corner with various games (catapult, stilts, throwing rings at a unicorn, throwing rings at swords, throwing balls at a dragon)
🥨 handicraft and sales stalls, a snack stand
