WITH A MINER BEHIND THE HISTORY – ROUTE A
Commented walk in Nová Bana
Get to know the secrets of the mining history of the free royal city of Nová Baňa through a walk along the Bansko educational trail. It has two circuits - route A and route B. Guided walks are held alternately once a month on both routes.
In the footsteps of Nova Bana's mining glory, you will be guided by miner and guide Branislav Medveľ, who knows a lot about mining in Nova Bana or mining as such, including from his own experience
At along route A, you will get to know the remains of surface and underground mining activities in the Middle Ages. You will see tunnels, shafts, a knocker and a tiller, and you will also find out what pings are.
The route has a length of 4.3 km and an elevation of 210 m and leads through the forest in the area of Mýtne vrch and Gupne. In one section there is also a steeper climb. The length of the walk is about 3 hours
