The lecture takes place in the Krajinov auditorium B14 on the 1.5th floor.

Stanislav Lhota is a researcher at the Czech University of Life Sciences and the Ústí Zoo. His previous research included field studies on white-fronted lemurs in India, and later focused on nocturnal lemurs called Aye-aye or Ksukol-tailed Lemurs in Madagascar.

Since 2005, he has been working primarily in Indonesia, focusing in particular on the long-nosed kahau and their protection. He is the coordinator and professional guarantor of the movement to save the bay (Gerakan Penyelamatan Teluk Balikpapan), whose members are otherwise mostly local Indonesians. He is also involved in negotiations on the adverse impact of unsustainable palm oil production. He oversees numerous projects concerned with primate care in captivity, reintroduction and mainly research in the wild. He is engaged in lecturing and teaching courses focused on primatology, wildlife conservation, methodology and sociobiology. He is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission, Primate Specialist Group.
