S mojím telom

Movement workshop within the project o.z. Port – Joyis intended for high school students. It is suitable for people with previous creative experience, but also for those who are just thinking about the creative process and have no direct experience yet.

It is part of a series of workshops that are led by a lecturer with a professional background and their goal is to create a safe environment for student communication with the professional artistic community.

The movement workshop will be focused on discovering creativity with the body, it will be an opportunity to discover new movements, to release physical tension in body and developing one's own movement vocabulary. Through the initial warm-up to the final connection of movement with music or rhythm and subsequent reflection, we will devote ourselves to exploring what we can express with our bodies.

Lecturer: Andrej Petrovič worked in the Studio Dance Theater, BB and the group Dajv Marta Poláková. After leaving Slovakia, he worked in Salzburg, Brussels, Rome, London. He is the co-author and choreographer of the dance film The Day. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Akram Khan Company in London, where he was a dancer and assistant to choreographer Akram Khan. He choreographed The Tempest, Beatles go Baroque, Fashion Ballet´24 for SND, Fifth for Kecskemet city ballet in Hungary, Rashomon effect for National youth dance company in London and L/one of the seven for ME-SA from Prague. From 2022, he is the artistic director of NDKE contemporary dance ballet. A. Petrovič et al. NDKE award Dosky 2022 for Extraordinary achievement in the field of dance theater.
