About event
Sababa 5 *live*
Sababa 5 are a Paris-based band known for their hypnotic mix of Middle Eastern psychedelia, Mediterranean funk and analogue grooves. Their sound combines swirling organs, surf guitars and irresistible rhythms to create a style that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking - firmly rooted in vintage sounds but constantly moving.
With their single “Tokyo Midnight / Nasnusa” feat. Yurika caused a stir internationally and then explored new sound directions through a variety of collaborations and European tours. Their self-titled debut and follow-up Aspan deepened their signature sound: a dense, instrumental fusion of funk, disco and Eastern melodies.
In recent years, Sababa 5 have expanded their musical spectrum through projects with singers such as Shiran Tzfira, Inbal Nur Dekel, Yurika Hanashima and Indian artist Sophia Solomon - a balance of analog warmth and global energy.
Their live shows are considered particularly rousing: groove-oriented, improvisational and full of lively sound textures that inspire audiences across Europe. Nadir, their fourth and most ambitious album to date, was released in 2025. It marks a new creative peak and delves even deeper into emotion, texture and groove - the sound of a band that courageously moves on.
