About event
The safe space for all is PLACE.BA! ✨
We invite you on December 6th to the Bratislava City Museum (map: slide 7). Whether you're part of a minority, a foreigner, or simply someone seeking connection, we want to create a moment where you can feel a sense of home in this city, even if just for a little while.
Program
🎨 WORKSHOPS | 17:00 - 19:00
*@tanyakyianytsia an Ukrainian illustrator and paper-cutting artist, will guide us through a Papercutting Workshop, where you’ll create your own paper design.
*The talented ladies from @vcera.bolo.neskoro will teach us the basics of Tatreez—a traditional Palestinian embroidery that is beautiful and rich in history and meaning.
🎵 MUSIC | 18:30 - 00:30
19:00 - 20:00: to.be @tobias.trajanov will kick things off with tech house, house & remixes of pop hits that all of us know.
20:00 - 00:30: @luna.almousli guest from Vienna and co-founder of the Raقsouna (Raqsouna) event series, will spin your favorite feel-good SWANA sounds. Expect a seamless blend of pop, indie, and electronic beats. Together with قamareen, they’ll ensure an unforgettable dancefloor experience that fuses nostalgic rhythms of the past with beats of the future.
🎨 EXHIBITION
Throughout the space you can enjoy artwork by:
@kvetnguye a Slovak-Vietnamese visual artist and photographer exploring untold stories of migration and otherness in a post-socialist context.
@nawras717 , an Arab artist specializing in sculpture, object, and installation. Her art explores identity, existence, and emotions, blending personal experiences with themes of mythology, human rights, and her culture.
🍴 During the event, you can enjoy delicious food, (non-alcoholic) drinks, meaningful conversations, or simply relax and just be.
We’re so excited to meet you and get to know each other! 🫶
Entrance: free
P.S. a Mikuláš gift for you :)
