Salamander Days in Banská Štiavnica reminds us of a rich history of mining, which for centuries has shaped life in the region for centuries. Farming, real descent to the mining underground, is also an essential part of these days. The Slovak Mining Museum offers you an exceptional experience during the Salamander week, Salamander pharying to the Glanzenberg tunnel. You will go through an approximately 500 meter long section and you will get up to 32 meters below the ground, directly below the historic city center.
For each entry, the capacity is limited to 15 persons, so we recommend timely booking. A visit to the exposure is suitable for children from 6 years. We recommend families with younger children to visit the Mining Museum in Nature, where it is also possible to experience a brand in the mine and see a very nice surface exposure. It is located in the State Nature Conservation building, Kammerhofská 26, Banská Štiavnica. At the meeting site we lend tires, helmets and lamps. 13.9.2025): at 10:00 am and 12:00 am
