Samhain III + Lichočar + Sukuba ensemble

The barrier was born at the end of the summer of 2018. The mandolinist rumored with Slavic mythology and pushed this word in her head. Together with two friends, flute and singer, they decided to find out what or who could be called. Pichočar. Is he a demon? Mischievous rumors? Ghost? Thus, stories, written and musical, inspired by one fictional word, led by curiosity began to be created. In addition to classical musical instruments such as guitar, flute, cello or (octave) mandolin you can hear in Lichopíské and instruments in Moravia otherwise unusual - for example Indian Shuti box, Celtic harp, Irish body, shamanic drum, Dumbled, Kalimba… and now Turkish Davul. They are also typical for polyphonic female singing in various European languages or dialects. The band is inspired by the old stories, mythology and folklore of different countries, through group improvisation, but for searching and rehearsing we create our own music. The result is a sound that balances between folklore and alternative, between fine melodic and rawness. Since 2021, the enthusiasm has been traveling through the waves of musical fantasy, when it plays taken hits, but also composes its own. It is also inspired by folklore or music of medieval and fantasy taverns. In the arsenal of the ensemble are hidden guitars, harp, cistra (related very remotely or closer to Irish bouzouki), tubes, a few violins, percussion, bass or flutes.
