The Sandberg near Devínska nová ves and the Devín ruins
On the first day, Saturday 21st March) we visit the Sandberg near Devínska nová ves. Ambitious hikers continue on to Devínska kobyla (514 meters above sea level) and enjoy the view of three countries from the observation tower, which was built in 2020 in the shape of a praying mantis. Provided the weather is appropriate, we will experience a wonderful sunset over the Marchfeld at around 6 p.m.
On the second day we walk four kilometers along the March to the mouth at Devín Castle and visit the extensive open-air museum. Then return to Devínska nová ves, the train to Vienna leaves every hour three minutes past the hour.
