About event
☘️ 7. A concert of the summer part of the chamber music festival in the house and garden of the Albrecht House Domus & Hortus Artis 2025
🎵 In 1921, a remarkable meeting took place in Paris. The editor of La Revue Musicale Henry Prunières invited composers Maurice Ravel, Alexander Tansman, Albert Roussel, Florent Schmitt, members of Paris six and the publishing star of Guitar's 20th century, Andrés Segovia. The Spanish guitarist appears to be interested in his game and the subsequent interest of the composers in the guitar was only a confirmation of the link of the French and Spanish music aesthetics. Program
Peter Machajdík (born 1961):
Out of darkness for the guitar quartet
Francis Poulenc (1899 - 1963):
3 Improvisations 11-13 - 12, FP113 for guitar duo (Arr. Martin Krajčo) (born 1978):
Melodilia for the guitar quartet ✨ World premiere
Francis Poulenc:
Sonata, FP8 for the guitar quartet (arr. Martin Krajčo) (solo)
Claude Debussy (1862 - 1918):
Doctor Gradus ad parnassum, Jimbo’s Lullaby, Golliwogg’s Cake Walk from Children’s Corner for Guitar Duo (Arr. Martin Krajčo) 1937):
Pavane pour Une infante défunte for the guitar quartet (arr. Martin Krajčo)
