SARVAMANGALAM (57 minutes)
Documentary about the places where wise sadhus find the meaning of life. Sarvamangalam in ancient Sanskrit means blessing to all, happiness to all. The film's guide is Swami Ram Kripalu, who lived for 35 years in the high Himalayas in an area that is completely cut off from the outside world for six months during winter and where the temperature is around -30 to -40 degrees Celsius. He lived there almost naked and with only a little food.

Ram Kripalu explains that the solitude, peace and positive energy of this area completely balances the harsh living conditions. One can eventually adapt to them. All it takes is a little perseverance, determination and some exercise, and within 40 days one is ready to handle even the worst climatic conditions. Human possibilities are much greater than people think. A person can and can do anything, we only set limits ourselves. Thought structures and barriers bind us very tightly and it is not easy to break them.

Ram Kripalu comes from a rich family, his mother was a minister in an Indian state, he himself studied at the prestigious Indian University in Varanasi, but at the age of 16 he decided to leave everything, left his family and started looking for a spiritual master who would help him find the essence of himself, the essence of all being. Ram Kripala found his spiritual master in the high Himalayas at the source of the sacred Ganges. In recent years, Ram Kripalu has been living in Rishikesh at the foot of the Himalayas, where he moved at the request of his mother. So Ram Kripalu takes us through the fascinating places of the Himalayas dressed only in two pieces of cloth and shod in wooden sandals. During the journey, he also introduces us to the life of lonely yogis in harsh Himalayan conditions.

We will round off the evening with a screening of a short film:
THE WORD OF THE BUDDHA (14 minutes)
In the essay-style film, we will hear a selection of Buddha's quotes (especially from the Dhammapadam collection), which focus on the doctrine of freedom from suffering, the doctrine of the "unshakable liberation of the heart" which is the ultimate goal. In the image folder we will see artistically conceived shots of exotic Thai nature, old Buddhist temples and meditating monks
