Get to know female researchers and innovators from Košice and its surroundings!

The event is for all female students, doctoral students, employees and women interested in science and research :)

SAVIA in Košice is an informal meeting with women scientists from Košice, which will take place on October 24, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in a small congress center (former Austrian library) on the campus of the Faculty of Arts, Sokrates building. The event offers an opportunity for inspiration, discussion and networking with Slovak female scientists and innovators. Over coffee and light refreshments, female students will learn more about scientific careers, listen to inspiring stories of female scientists, have the opportunity to ask them questions and establish new contacts in a pleasant environment.
All female students who are interested in a scientific and research career are warmly welcome.

The program will feature:

🐕 MVDr. Martina Karasová, PhD. from the Small Animal Clinic, UVLF University Veterinary Hospital in Košice,
🎓 prof. Mgr. Renáta Panocová, PhD., dean of the Faculty of Philosophy UPJŠ in Košice,
⚛️ doc. RNDr. Katarína Štroffeková, PhD. from the Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Natural Sciences UPJŠ in Košice,
🧪 RNDr. Monika Švecová, PhD. from the Institute of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry of the Faculty of Medicine UPJŠ.

Come be inspired by the stories of women who know how to fulfill their dreams and meet the community of female researchers over coffee with SAVIA.

The event is organized by the non-profit the organization SAVIA (Slovak Association of Researchers and Innovators, www.savia.sk) with the support of the ESET Foundation in cooperation with the University of Pavel Jozef Šafárik in Košice.
