❤️🩹 Health is an important and sensitive topic for most people. It is its meaning and strong emotional dimension that make this area extremely susceptible to the spread of various nonsense, false or misleading information. 👀 In medicine, false claims and pseudo -scientific approaches are particularly widespread, especially in the digital space. Is the loss of trust in experts, strong emotions associated with the disease or trying to find simple solutions? Can scientific literacy help us in the fight against nonsense? And what does it actually mean?
Lecturer:
👩🏻 Viktória Sunyík is a psychologist and scientist at the Institute of Experimental Psychology CSPV SAS, v.v.i. In his work, he is investigating why people are subject to pseudo -scientific, conspiracy and other unsubstantiated beliefs and misinformation, especially in health. At the same time, he focuses on scientific literacy as a protective factor for subject to various nonsense.
