About event
SAVOY SATELLITES orbit Billie Holiday feat. Erik Leuthäuser
This evening, songs from the repertoire of singer Billie Holiday will be played; and, strictly speaking, so does your pianist: Teddy Wilson.
Everything has already been said, written and filmed about B. Holiday - but not about Teddy Wilson!
Teddy Wilson played great piano, among others in the Benny Goodman Trio & Quartet, and also had a great band himself, and Billie Holiday mostly sang for them.
The SAVOY SATELLITES are playing again in a septet plus vocals; Erik Leuthäuser sings scent and takes over B. Holiday's part.
Cast:
Martin Auer (tp)
Fox (cl)
Patrick Braun (ts)
Kenneth Berkel (p)
Fredi Gebhardt (g)
Heiko Grumpelt (b)
Kai Schoenburg (dr)
Erik Leuthäuser (voc)
