Residence and workshop with Jakub Folvarčný (CZ)
Our life flows by itself. There is no need to push the river. Why does it pull some of her current, others are drowning on every occasion, and others are fearlessly wandering her waters on the wave of harmony? Apparently, everyone could easily describe it on the example of the river, but what are our diverse life settings? I offer you a coach of resonance. In the theater workshop, we will expose to the streams of inspiration and feel and understand where our "mental aerodynamics" binds, where we slide smoothly - and how it all translates into our body, attitude, walking, breath, ability to express, listen and pass on. We will enter the roles and improvise life in a safe circle. We will try the whole wardrobe of "foreign skin". And all this under healthy pressure of theater time and discomfort that brings to reveal before others. (CZ)
Jakub Folvarčný - actor, performer, director, poet and guide in the country between stage and life. A lecturer who invites you to discover what you have been wearing in yourself. You just need to sing. 📡 Resonance begins with a login. Everything else will find you alone. In the open and creative space Družba Drama Studio in Trenčín will create four short stage shapes that reflect the personal experience of the participants and their joint work. The aim of the residences is to connect professional artists with the local community, to support creativity and enable viewers to look into the process of the creation of the theater work. The results of each residence will be publicly presented and supplemented by discussions with the creators. The project offers a new way to perceive the theater - as a space for cooperation, dialogue and sharing. At the same time, it creates a model that can inspire other artistic initiatives in Trenčín and outside.

The V4 scene in Trenčín: Authenticity-Contents-Composition
Residence and workshop with Eduard Kudláč (SK)
Where does the body encounter meaning? When is the gesture real? How can silence be a testimony and chaos structure? Performative workshop, which examines three key elements of creation in contemporary art on the axis of authenticity ~ content ~ composition. In the workshop, we will explore the boundaries between body and text, between individual experience and collective gesture, between what we can say - and what can be survived. We will look for a physical and emotional presence that is not acting. We will focus on working with body, breath and voice not as a part of "nature", but as a conscious choice. We will work with open meanings, metaphors and uncertainty. We will investigate how the content arises, how (not) communicates and what happens between the creator and the viewer. We will analyze dramaturgical possibilities in non-narrative structures and test our own compositions-from microgest to integral situations. Composition such as the rhythm of the body, image, sound, duration, laboratory in which we examine: Who am I when I am before the other? Where do I end up and where does the picture start? And what actually happens? Visual artist, curator. He studied theater direction at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. His focus on finding new theater options through movement, fragmentarization, non -verbal expression and action developed in his own association PhenomenonTheatre, which he founded in 2000 as an independent platform for contemporary theater. Since 2009 he has been the artistic director of the Žilina Municipal Theater, which profiles as a theater with a bold dramaturgy, focused on contemporary Slovak and foreign texts and unconventional interpretations of the classic. Poland. In the open and creative space Družba Drama Studio in Trenčín will create four short stage shapes that reflect the personal experience of the participants and their joint work. What does "home" mean to us? Where does the belonging begin - and when does the departure become inevitable? The residence invites participants to discover the topic of home and belonging at the time of resettlement, movement and internal search. Through the nonverbal language of the postmodern theater, we examine dilemmas between staying and departure, the experience of home and identity issues. Participants work with their own experiences, physical memory and social reflexes in a collective yet autonomous creative process. The workshop is based on the video theater technique and focuses on non -verbal, form disturbing performance approaches. Using individual and group exercises, participants experiment, play, reflect and share. Together we discuss traditional theatrical structures and we re -compose them from both personal and political perspectives. Tósza (HU)

The project offers a new way to perceive the theater - as a space for cooperation, dialogue and sharing. At the same time, it creates a model that can inspire other artistic initiatives in Trenčín and outside. How does the process of creating the stage world begin? Does the loneliness of the actor or actress mean full responsibility for what viewers see? Every second has its value. Who is standing in front of us? Where do we lead the audience? Text, visuality, acting, sound, light - how to organize it all? Or - maybe - love and do what you want? I don't know. I don't know - that's always the beginning! We'll see! During the workshop we will create several -minute theater etudes in the style of monodrama. We will work with ideas and materials that will be brought by participants themselves, as well as improvisation and available space sources. Nowak (PL)
