Residency and workshop with Mikolt Tózsa (HU)
What does "home" mean to us? Where does belonging begin - and when does leaving become inevitable? The residence invites participants to explore the theme of home and belonging in a time of resettlement, movement and inner search. Through the non-verbal language of postmodern theatre, we explore dilemmas between staying and leaving, the experience of home and questions of identity. Participants work with their own experiences, body memory and social reflexes in a collective, but at the same time autonomous creative process. The workshop is based on the technique of visual theater and focuses on non-verbal, form-disrupting performative approaches. Using individual and group exercises, participants experiment, play, reflect and share. Together we dismantle traditional theater structures and reassemble them from a personal and political perspective.

Mikolt Tózsa (HU)
Under the leadership of Mikolt Tózsa, performer and theater creator, graduate of the Theater and Performance program at Freeszfe. Her work is based on critical theory, social involvement and performative experiments that push the boundaries of artistic expression. He perceives theater as an event in which the audience becomes an active participant. Mikolt is a co-founder of the National Performance Theater Collective and has presented her solo and collective works at festivals such as THEALTER (Szeged), TESZT (Timișoara), Dream Factory (Ostrava) and HAU (Berlin). under the guidance of experienced lecturers from the V4 countries - Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. In the open and creative space of Družba Drama Studio in Trenčín, four short stage forms will be created that reflect the personal experiences of the participants and their joint work. The aim of the residencies is to connect professional artists with the local community, to support creativity and to allow the audience to see the very process of the creation of a theatrical work. The results of each residency will be publicly presented and supplemented by discussions with the creators. The project offers a new way of perceiving the theater - as a space for cooperation, dialogue and sharing. At the same time, it creates a model that can inspire other artistic initiatives in Trenčín and beyond.
