About event

A Science Pub lecture by Desiree Tullos, PhD, Professor in the Biological and Ecological Engineering Department at Oregon State University, at the McMenamins Kennedy School Theater

Have you wondered about the recent increase in local warnings about cyanobacterial blooms in the lower Willamette River? In light of these warnings both here and globally, this Science Pub will be both a conversation and visual storytelling covering the cause of cyanobacteria blooms, what local specialists have been learning about their occurrence on the lower Willamette River, and the challenges to and strategies for mitigating them.

Science Pubs are a casual lecture series located in fun venues across the region, recommended for ages 10 and over.
