About event
On Sunday, November 16, on the eve of the anniversary of the Gentle Revolution, the seventeenth Central European Forum will be held in Bratislava's Old Market. As every year, there will be a discussion about what is most urgent today, about democracy and human dignity - about what awaits us - in the context of Europe and the whole world.
It will be the first time that the forum is held on the eve of the anniversary of the Gentle Revolution, which is no longer a day of rest. The problem is that a national holiday is not just an anniversary of something. It is an official message that the state stands for what the Gentle Revolution was about: freedom, plurality, legality, as well as togetherness and decency that belong to freedom. A symbol of his commitment to protect them, and that's over. Only we can give ourselves freedom and what belongs to it.
That is why we cordially invite you to the free, Slovak and world discussions of the Central European Forum 2025.
In addition to the discussions, you will have the opportunity to see the exhibition Free National Gallery, which will last until November 18.
As always, entry to Stará Tržnica is free and simultaneous interpretation is provided. We start exactly at seven o'clock. Everyone is warmly welcome.
