On Saturday, December 21, 2024, at exactly 10:19 a.m., the winter solstice occurs, the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn and the winter solstice occurs, which means that after the shortest day of the year comes the longest night.
Come and meet in front of the Governor's Summer Palace. The royal sundial is located in this place, on which (if the weather permits) we will be able to show why our ancestors chose this time as important.
For us, this is probably the last opportunity to meet this year.
We will continue to one of the nearby restaurants for lunch.
If there is interest, we can follow up with an evening celebration in the style of the original Secular Solstice, as it was celebrated in 2013 in New York by the circle of humanists around Raymond Arnold.
