go through a native village with the question of how much I am at home. Where is the water? A thousand times the dug ground. New blocks of apartment buildings. Husama forbade entry to the village square and declared it a square. Someone creates facts, someone suffers from them. There is no other choice but to turn to your inner editorial, where a direct view of the world is fighting. How to become so solid? Is this a goal when our own memory is changing? What is going on to us? How to regain sharp vision? Vaculík's testimony of a deep social transformation in the 1950s and personal responsibility resonates with the search for his place in politically, ideologically and humanly polarized society today.
