We cordially invite the professional public to the seminar entitled Measures for the development of active mobility and the evaluation of their impacts, which will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the premises of the Goethe Institute at Panenská 33 in Bratislava from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The seminar is part of our Central European Active Mobility Lab project, which has been running since 2023 in Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

You can look forward to the following speakers:

🚲 Antal Gertheis (HU) from Mobilissimus will present the methodology used to evaluate the impact of various measures in Bratislava, Budapest and Prague and the main findings
🚲 Orsolya Liptay (HU) from Magyar Kerékpárosklub will introduce improvements to school streets and other public spaces in Budapest
🚲 Michal Šindelár (CZ), an expert at the Laboratory of Sustainable Urbanism of the Automat association, will present the results of three researches conducted in the organization, focused on the perceived safety of various types of cycling infrastructure, evaluation cyclist accidents and the impact of new infrastructure
🚲 Branislav Strenk from the City Hall. the City of Bratislava will present the Podháj Street improvement project in Lamač in detail, and Dan Kollár from the Cyclokoalícia will show the results of a survey that evaluated the impact of this change from the point of view of traffic safety or the attractiveness of active modes of transport of Bratislava schools as part of the City for Children project
🚲 Roland Németh from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University will present his research focused on on the traffic behavior of users of Zltý bajky in Trnava and the findings from automatic cyclist counters, which he addresses in his dissertation

The seminar will be accompanied by Boris Valach from Cyklocoalície. The event will take place in a combination of Slovak and English (lectures by speakers from Hungary), interpretation will not be provided. The capacity of the event is limited.

After the seminar, there is an opportunity to participate in a bicycle excursion, dedicated to examples of cycling infrastructure in Bratislava and current projects, accompanied by employees of the Bicycle Transport Department of the City Hall. of the city of Bratislava and the Cycling Coalition, starting at 14:00 and lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
