About event
The seminar of the Psychology Section of aging and old age
lectures Mgr. Kateřina Macháčová, Ph.D. Movement has not only preventive but also therapeutic effects, improves mood regardless of age or diagnosis and significantly supports cognitive functions. Nevertheless, we move inadequately and sometimes we hurt. So how should we move? There is no clear answer because we are different, we have different preferences, needs or goals. However, we are common to us that we were born as humans and in the first year of life we went through the same movement patterns that allowed us to stand up and step towards life. This created the foundations necessary for any further movement. And it is these foundations that permanently exercises.
I invite you to a seminar, where we will link knowledge of movement and aging with specific experience in practice and research.
In the first part, I will present the philosophy and the basics of the movement-educational program permanento inspired by the principles of developmental kinesiology, which focuses not only on the motor aspect of movement, but also on its psychosocial dimension. In this concept, movement is not only a means of maintaining fitness, but also a tool of connection with your own body and with yourself. In the second part, I will focus on continuous results of the recently completed randomized controlled studies, which examined not only the impact of this exercise on the functional fitness of older adults, but also its long -term sustainability. In the third part you will learn about selected movements in the context of a modern way of life and we will try everything together. You may be surprised at how little it can do to achieve big changes, that even the breath is movement and much more. The author of the program Kateřina Macháčová
Mgr. Kateřina Macháčová, Ph.D. Within the Center for Longevity and Long -term Care, he devotes to the functional state of people at advanced age and active gerontology. She has established and leads an initiative to move for life that supports an active lifestyle and strives to extend life in health. In 2017, it creates and continues to develop the concept of Permanento, whose effects are currently empirically verified in a research study supported by the AZV MZ ČR (# Nu22-09-00447: 2022-2025). The topics of aging and old age, however, are far from concerned with contemporary seniors, but also pays attention to other groups of population. Its aim is to change established myths about the movement and access of persons of all age groups to their body and hence health. Href = "https://1url.cz/o1m4k"> https://1url.cz/o1m4k
