Seminář pro pedagogy: Komiks ve výuce a globální témata na 2. stupni ZŠ a SŠ

After two webinars, Klára Smolíková prepared a full -time seminar, which summarizes all the essentials that sounded at online meetings. Naturally, the living format offers many more participants. This time it will be possible to directly try activities suitable for comics workshops, and above all the potential of comics for education together to discuss and inspire each other.

The seminar will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Toulc's Dvůr in Prague from 10 am to 3 pm.

The content of the seminar
Do they sensitively touch the value ranking of readers and creators? What would Jan Amos Comenius think of the comic book and what can the comic medium offer to the pupils and students themselves? Which competences are developing and just comics can only be read or can also be understood through his own work? He will present participants to the lessons that she created for her comic book projects and publications. In cooperation with a person in Need and artist Martin Hanschild, she has prepared materials for the seminar that connect comics with current topics such as migration, humanitarian aid or social advertising. You can take these materials from the seminar and you can use them in teaching.

Most recently, the output of a three -year project dedicated to the development of comic book literacy summarized in the publication we speak in bubbles. She is the author of many comic exhibitions (eg Comenius in the comic book for the National Educational Museum) and publications (guinea pigs in action, swallowed me library, teddy bears of Lup and his friends or Hussites), compiled eight books Bublifuk. In 2023, she was awarded the Comic-Con Junior Award for the contribution of the world of fantasy, which she received not only for comic book work, but also for popularizing comics.
