About event
Milena Štráfeldová
Sisters B.
Chamber drama about the life of Lída Baarová and her sister Zorka Janů
But I just want to be an actress! At what price? Conscience asks questions and finding answers in the past is almost impossible through the black spots of the wheels of history. The meeting of Lída and Zorka is not a story about a trial or a documentary search for the truth. It is a story of internal human divisions. Sisters looking at each other as if in a mirror. The famous Lída Baarová as a man with sharp elbows who craves everything and everyone. What happens when we remove the feminine charm of the femme fatale from the screen and leave pure actions, behavior and emotions? Zorka Janů as the "good little girl" who was swallowed up by the transparency of her own soul and the shadow of her famous sister.
Martin Doucha and Adéla Kalusová are based on the dramatic work of the author Milena Štráfeldová and transform the text in the author's concept into a chamber form that seeks that inner split between the two sisters.
Production by the ensemble Divadelní spolek LARGO.
Stars: Martin Doucha (Lída Baarová), Adéla Kalusová (Zorka Janů), from the recording Petr Kubes (Joseph Goebbels) and Jiří Untermüller (Hlas)
Direction and dramaturgy: collective
Science, costumes, lights and poster: Hynek Král
