About event

EN
The historically first exhibition in the Czech Republic of the Japanese artist Shingo Nekoyama (known in Japan as Neko-chan) will present the diversity of the contemporary Japanese art scene.
Curry palindromes are sentences or phrases that read the same forward and backward. They contain a unique element of "curry language", evoking the essence of curry. The project presents a new perspective on contemporary art that challenges traditional frameworks and offers fresh insights. Viewers are invited to engage more deeply with themes of time, memory and human existence through the intersection of language, nature and culture. Shingo Nekoyama has already created more than 900 curry palindromes.

JAMU student Kazuki Shingu will accompany the opening of the exhibition by playing the contrabass, and Pavel Zlámal will play the saxophone.

The exhibition will be open until February 3, 2025.

CZ

Výstava bude přístupná do 3. 2. 2025.
