Sigur Rós performing with Noordpool Orchestra // Royal Theater Carré, Amsterdam

Iceland's Sigur Rós creates a true musical fairytale with their special sound that transports you to the vast Arctic tundra and picturesque fishing villages on a watery horizon. The typical sound is characterized by the sadness in the falsetto voice of frontman Jónsi, combined with his iconic bow with which he races over his guitar. With lyrics in "hopelandic" - a language invented by Sigur Rós - the band takes you to a world you didn't even know existed. During this tour, Sigur Rós will play in each country with a local orchestra. During the shows in Carré the band plays together with the Groningen Noordpool Orchestra.
