About event

Please join us for a beautiful day snowshoeing on Silver Star mountain! Silver Star is one of my favorite snowshoes for a bluebird day like is expected due to its location away from the other high peaks. This gives a spectacular unobstructed 350 degree view. And of course on a clear, crisp winter day like is expected the view goes to forever and beyond. If you have not yet hiked Silver Start on a clear winter day, it is truly a must!

It may be possible to summit with microspikes so please bring both microspikes and snowshoes.

Note that I'll be out most of Monday and won't have much internet access to answer any messages until the late afternoon.

**CARPOOLING**: We will meet at Gateway Transit Center at 8:30 am on the West Side of the first floor of the parking structure. Drivers should be paid 10 cents per mile. No one will be turned away if unable to pay.
Westsiders - I live in Beaverton and have available seats so post in the comments if you would like to carpool from there!

Recent trail reports indicate that folks have been using microspikes rather than snowshoes due to the hard packed conditions. I'm planning on bringing both.
**Apre:**
Afterwards, we'll stop at Caffe Piccolo for coffee in downtown Camas. Please keep that in mind when carpooling. *Also, it's a good idea to bring a set of dry socks to change into*.
