40 years after the successful album "Break Every Rule":
The celebrated homage with leading actress Coco Fletcher makes Tina Turner's star shine again

In 1986, Tina Turner's album "Break Every Rule" was released on Capitol Records and quickly became a number one success. The album sold over twelve million copies worldwide and, with a total of 14x platinum, 7x gold and 1x silver, is one of the best-selling music albums of the 80s. Her legendary performance during the subsequent tour in Rio de Janeiro in front of more than 180,000 spectators even earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. 40 years later, “Simply The Best – The Tina Turner Story” honors the unique life's work of one of the most important artists in music history. Most recently, the successful production caused quite a stir in the wake of a long legal dispute over the portrait of the leading actress and the world's best Tina doppelganger, Dorothea "Coco" Fletcher, and gained international prominence and recognition thanks to the final judgment. The show has already thrilled hundreds of thousands of visitors and will go on another major tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2026. Tickets are available at www.tina-turner-story.com and at all known ticket offices.

A highlight among the musical biographies and a must for all Tina Turner fans who want to experience the exceptional artist's eventful life with all of her big hits up close and live again: "Simply The Best - The Tina Turner Story" describes with lots of live music and impressive scenes the life of the exceptional artist and takes the audience on a journey through five decades of music history: from initial successes, the failure of a great love and finally, after the separation, Tina's sensational solo career to the film music of "James Bond 007 - Goldeneye" in the mid-90s.

From difficult circumstances to a steep solo career

Anna Mae Bullock, born on November 26th, 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee (USA), grew up in Nutbush and died on May 24, 2023 in her adopted home of Küsnacht near Zurich (Switzerland), became a global star and legend as Tina Turner. From 1958 she performed alongside her future husband Ike Turner. After the separation and the personal abyss, her first solo tour for the album “Private Dancer” in 1985 was the outstanding comeback as a solo artist. The singer with the unmistakable timbre went on a world tour for the last time in 2009. This tour was the great conclusion to an extraordinary career with over 180 million records sold, countless number 1 hits and chart positions such as “Simply The Best”, “Private Dancer” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero”. Even after her death, Tina Turner remains an unbeatable role model for strength and courage.

The successful production “Simply The Best” is a homage to the rock icon who shaped half a century of rock history and brings the unique Tina Turner sound live to the stage once again. The gripping and emotional musical biography was named "Best Musical Tribute Show" at the Reel Awards ceremony in Las Vegas in early 2020 and pays homage to an outstanding and unique personality.

The world's best Tina doppelganger: Dorothea "Coco" Fletcher as Tina Turner

"Tina Turner's performances were significantly different from performances by other artists. I have always been impressed by her incredible energy and Stage presence is fascinating,” says Tina Turner actress Coco Fletcher. Inspired by the exceptional artist, she manages to imitate her idol perfectly. Coco's performance is visually and vocally astonishingly close to the original. This means that she is rightly considered the best Tina doppelganger worldwide. There can hardly be a greater compliment for Coco Fletcher than the fact that the rock icon herself was of the opinion that she was too similar to her in a past legal dispute. With the special timbre in her voice and the energetic show, Coco Fletcher brings the “Queen of Rock” back to the stage and inspires the audience together with the excellent ensemble of live band, singers and dancers.

Fletcher, who grew up in Alabama/USA, celebrated her first successes in Las Vegas: There she performed with soul greats such as The Platters and Bobby Womack and successfully sang in shows such as “American Superstars”. Since September 1997 she has been part of the original cast of the “Stars in Concert” ensemble. Since 2004 she has appeared regularly on stage with Udo Jürgens and in 2005 she sang a duet with Jermaine Jackson (Jackson Five). Coco Fletcher became known in Germany and Switzerland after Pepe Lienhard hired her for his live tours and TV appearances. She also gave goosebumps on “Let’s Dance” 1 & 2 (RTL) and sang for Quincy Jones at the “42nd Montreux Jazz Festival” in 2008.
