dbt Meetups are networking events open to all folks working with data! Talks predominantly focus on community members' experience with dbt, however, you will catch presentations on broader topics such as analytics engineering, the modern data stack, DataOps, modelling, testing, and team structures.

In the evolving world of data analytics, structuring, managing, and delivering data in ways that best support business outcomes becomes a great challenge for data gurus. Two prominent approaches in modern data modelling are the Medallion Architecture and Data Products.
This presentation evaluates the two approaches and suggests something in between to facilitate standards and ad-hoc business requirements.
Speaker: Nam Nguyen (James) is an analytics engineer at ExpressVPN. An experienced data professional, he brings over 4 years in data architecture, modelling and analysis. With expertise in building scalable data pipelines and leveraging modern data frameworks, James has worked with clients operating in different industries to optimise their data strategies and drive actionable business insights.
