We cordially invite you to the final concert of the second year of Šest na pětke (6 concerts of classical music in Prague 5).

The Škamp Quartet was founded in 1989 at the Prague Academy of Arts under the direction of professors Antonín Kohout and Milan Škampa, members of the legendary Smetan Quartet. The quartet is the winner of the first prize in the prestigious Charles Hennen World Competition in Heerlen, Holland, and the special prize of the Czech Chamber Association. Thanks to a successful performance at London's Wigmore Hall, for which it received the Royal Philharmonic Society's Best Debut 1993 award. In October of the following year, the ensemble became the first ever resident quartet in the history of Wigmore Hall, where it played dozens of concerts in the years 1994-1998. The quartet performs in Europe, Japan, North and South America, Mexico and Australia. He meets his audience on the stages of prestigious music festivals in Melbourne, Aspen, Berlin, Gstaad, Edinburgh, Istanbul, Paris. />Bedřich Smetana – String Quartet No. 1 E minor "From my life"
