The famous play The Glass Menagerie was written by American author Tennessee Williams with strongly autobiographical elements from his own family. With humor and emotion, and with the utmost sincerity, she describes the life of the abandoned mother Amanda, who, with her love and desire to make her children as happy as possible, makes a big mess in the family. The character of the son Tom is an impersonation of Tennessee Williams himself, and his sister Laura is originally his real sister Rose. This family tragicomedy is about us, about each of us, it's a mirror held up to our ridiculous family somersaults. The most beautiful and the worst things are made of love. Together with Amanda, Tom, Laura and suitor Jim, we laugh and cry at each other.
