Schools in the Himalayas – a medium-length documentary about the education and school life of Ladakh children. A conversation with the author of the film and the traveler Pavlína Adam.
Ladakh is the last place in the world with unsuppressed Tibetan culture and is located in the northernmost Himalayan part of India. The documentary will present three Ladakh schools built under the peaks of majestic mountains, whose principals reveal their basic principles of education, their view of science and modernization, or their cooperation with the Czech non-profit organization Brontosaurs in the Himalayas. What do the people of Lada consider to be the basis of a "good education" and what do they consider most important when working with children? The happiness of a person from Ladakh does not depend only on the amount of knowledge.
