SLAM POETRY BEST OF SK is a sample of the best slammers on our stage.

Bedňa
Since 2014, he has been engaged in musical comedy and stand-up. In 2022, he became the champion of Slovakia in slam poetry, from where he advanced to the European Championships in Rome and subsequently to the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro. In the same year, he also won the all-Slovak round of the Kontakt song contest.
He studied film direction at the VŠMU and is currently studying multimedia composition at JAMU. He is also dedicated to amateur theater.
Music, humor, deep thoughts – Bedňa has everything
Jánoš!
Slammer from Bardejov Basta, where he organizes slams and sometimes some concerts. He speaks Slovak and Ruthenian. His lyrics are like life - mundane, worn and tired. But sometimes there is a glimmer of hope that even Monday mornings can be pleasant. In addition to slam, she also works in a musical anarcho dub-poetry project called Podchody.
Zuzana Cascino
Slovak Slam Poetry champion from 2025, a journalist from the war front in Ukraine and a slammer who usually makes the audience cry. But slam poetry is about strong emotions, so it naturally belongs to slam life.
Sveťo Šomšák
Latinized by Lucius Cornus. On the Slovak slam scene since 2018. Vice-champion of Slovakia in 2021, participant of the Panslam Tour 2022. Third at the Slovak Slam Poetry Championship in 2023. Thematically, he is in intimate-surreal images wrapped in nihilistic poetics. In parallel, he works as a singer and presents himself as an organizer of community art forms (igricinakoberci.sk).
Simon
Rojko lost in the absurdity of everyday life. A dreamer from Podpoľania, a self-proclaimed poet and a fly with eight legs. He loves words, art, tea and chocolate pudding. She writes about "wet pigeons" and poetry is light, world and escape for her at the same time.
Abby
The most prominent voice of trans people in the Slovak slum, initiator of ecumenical programs, trainer of snail pokemon, cook of social soups, forever second, fluent in Slovene English, proud Štítničan.
In the evening you will be accompanied by: STRAKA
Founder of contemporary Slovak slam and artistic director of the Slovak slam scene. He represented Slovakia at the European Championships in 2018 as a co-author of the straw theater Bridging the Barriers, directed by Marc Smith. He led dozens of workshops and participated in hundreds of events, and is the author of six books. In 2024, he brought the European Slam Poetry Championship to Slovakia.
