After a long hiatus, Slam Poetry returns to the East! For the first time in 2026, straw stars will appear on the stage at Wave in Prešov together with young faces of the scene. We invite you to an evening full of emotions, verses and moments that you will remember for a long time!
They will introduce themselves to you:
Andrej Klobušník:
The first king of the hill, teacher of nations, destroyer of tumors and hysterical historian. Vice-champion of Slovakia from 2025. Heavy weight of Slovak slam. The greatest Slovak poet - at least in terms of dimensions. At the altitude where his brain is, the air is already thin, which results in wild associations that connect the seemingly unconnected in his lyrics.
Muro:
Finalist of the World Cup 2025, Tatra terrorist, guitar agitator, progressive half-ass, Cretaceous enemy and the second Cintula. He likes to shout and attract attention. With the money from Šimečka's mother, he could have had a third investment apartment a long time ago, but he prefed and drank all of them, so you can see him hitchhiking on the side of the road or hanging from a freight train car on the run from the law. He started writing poetry already in elementary school with the aim of calling out as many teachers as possible during boring hours.
Naves:
Slamerka, who straws with the voice of the pub, her authenticity is derived from the problematic alcoholic situations in the pub that no one has ever experienced, but almost everyone has heard of. He also tends to mumble about love, which I associate with deep thoughts, where every person always finds a piece of his heart.
Hlivka:
Master of the Košice Small Stage for 2022 and clearly the most absurd slammer in Slovakia. Mushroom texts are an elusive, indescribable, unrepeatable and often seemingly endless stream of magical, surreal and original mind. It causes many people to laugh and wonder not only how something like this can be written at all, but also why someone would do it.
Matúš Vywren:
The moderator of the evening, Kurt Cobain from Košice, and the organizer of the straw scene in eastern Slovakia. Even if you rarely see him without a thermos or a cup of tea, his lyrics are definitely not a weak brew. He often verbally goes into dark and existential thoughts, but at the end he always leaves a light of hope for the future shining.
And maybe even secret guests will come :)
