About event
Some evenings ask for silence between the bookshelves. Not this one. We invite you to Slam poetry, an evening of spoken word, emotions and texts that are not read silently, but live right in front of you.
Slam poetry is a live author's performance. The poet stands before the audience with only his text, his voice and the present moment. No scenery, no props. Just words, rhythm and energy. Each text is original and each performance is unique.
6 poets from the project Vyliate duše will perform on stage: Ljuk, Vivien, Simon, Mesiac, Bixie and Luna. Each of them will perform a slam of about 10 minutes and will perform in two rounds during which they will take turns. Expect strong statements, humor, irony, personal topics and social observations, which may hit exactly where it hurts. The event will start later in the evening and for that reason we will have exceptionally extended opening hours.
Warning: the language and content of the performances are intended for an audience of 18+.
Admission: 7 euros / person on the spot
If you have not yet experienced a slam, get ready for an evening that is raw, honest and sometimes uncomfortably true. And if you have already experienced it, you know that it is difficult to return to it only in the silence between the pages.
