To the cinema or the theatre? Why decide! Kino Utajeno offers visitors a comprehensive cultural experience.
What is hidden behind the closed doors of normally inaccessible locations in Prague? Visitors will discover this during the site-specific film screenings of Kina Utajeno. The carefully curated evening combines film screenings with participatory theater performances and a tour of the premises. Attentive viewers will not miss the gamified elements, for example in the form of hidden film quizzes. Kino Utajeno thus offers a unique viewing experience that cannot be experienced in the comfort of your home or in a regular cinema.
As part of this year's last event, Kino Utajeno will take its viewers to the unique Hrzánská Passage located in the very heart of Prague. Hrzánská Passage is characterized by vaulted ceilings, arches and elaborate details. The arcade is part of the baroque Hrzánů Palace from Harasov. The palace consists of a three-story main building and two side wings, which together form the Hrzánská Passage. The building has been listed since 1964. According to memorial plaques, between 1906 and 1912, Hermann and Julie Kafka, parents of the writer Franz Kafka, ran a textile wholesale here. During the First Republic, František Stadler, a wholesaler of luxury fabrics, bought the palace and ran his business there until World War II.
For many years, the passage was inaccessible, but now it is coming back to life with new tenants, which are local brands and projects in the fields of fashion, art and design, for example.

The progress of the project the old collective of students from FAMU, DAMU, AVU and FF UK in Prague. The project is implemented with the financial support of the State Cinematography Fund, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU Interfaculty Cooperation), the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the m. of Prague. Media partners of the project are Girls in Film and art2friends magazine. The partners of the accompanying program are Bis.tro and F.H. Prager. The December event is created in cooperation with FAMU and SLÁVA! - Fashion concept store & creative hub (the project is supported by Skin On The Market z.s. – Jarmila Kytlicová, Tereza Váchová).
