connected with the memory of the important theater director Pavel Haspra, a long-time member of the SND, who would have lived to be 95 in December 2024 years.

The invitation was also accepted by special guests from the Drama of the Slovak National Theater Božidara Turzonovová and Dušan Tarageľ.
The program is accompanied by Lucia Hurajová with words and Ondrej Kovaľ with songs of their own creation.

The book publication analyzes in detail and approaches the unique personality of the important Slovak theater director Pavel Haspra. Critically synthesizes views on his directing work in the context of Slovak professional theater and in wider social and theatrical contexts.
The monograph on the theater director Pavlov Haspro offers an analytical and critical view of his creative journey.
Characterizes its sources and starting points from the beginnings in amateur theater, systematically analyzes and then synthesizes individual periods of the creator's study and gradual maturation, names his stagnation in the Nitrian theater. Haspro's theatrical activity had dramaturgical, directorial and, in many cases, artistic-creative parameters. He fulfilled his ambitions with an ambitious artistic program - productions that offered the artistic maturation of the acting ensemble and at the same time resonated in the contexts and development of Slovak theater at the time. of the National Theater in Bratislava. In the SND, he met an actor group stratified by generation.
Haspro's artistic expression was always looking for a theater of significant dramatic conflict, strong emotions, and tried to fill the expression with a suggestive theatrical expression. His collaboration with set designer Vladimír Suchánek and costume designer Helena Bezáková became characteristic for him.
An important chapter of Hasprov's directing in the 1960s was a significant orientation towards American dramaturgy - plays by A. Miller and E. Albee. The director's manuscript was inspired by the staging of dramatizations of Dostoevsky's important works - The Idiot, Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov and Besy.
Director Haspra often sought fundamental artistic challenges and in a unique way authentically created the production of Shakespeare's King Lear.
Pavol Haspra created a suggestive theater of emotions and passions, especially for the audience, and at the same time, in the creative process, he offered unique artistic challenges for members of the artistic ensemble. Above all, the director tried to speak a theatrically appealing word at a time about the man and the world he inhabited. He offered an updated message, often also to politicians, in which he expressed his own doubts, hopes and disappointments about the circumstances and connections of the then world of a person living in a socialist social system. In metaphors and parables, he revealed the enormity of the system, which caused dilemmas and decisions leading to the rejection of one's own conscience.
The changed social situation after November 1989 created a change in Haspro's creative path towards the search for new dramaturgical paths and titles that selected for staging. It seems as if he was seemingly running out of "creative breath", but despite this, he was able to convince of his own directorial skills with his full cooperation with actors and suggestive theater productions. .
