Exactly 130 years after the first public projection of the film, which took place in France in 1895, the Dawn Betliar cinema, the village of Štítnik and Gemart open a fantastic permanent exhibition "The Story of Cinematography" at the Štítnik water castle.
Do you know what kinetoscope is? When was the first photographic sequence in the world? Who scored the first film for the public? Or on what screenings did our ancestors watch the films 60 years ago?
Physical machines from different periods, old documents, poster designs, written and picture history, or the atmosphere of the old cinema you will be able to see and experience at the water castle in Štítnik from 1.5.2025 every day from 9.00 am 17.00 hod.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on April 12, 20124 at 16:00 in the mansion in the castle.
