New GHMP exhibition – Helena Wilsonová: Photographs

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition Helena Wilsonová: Photographs on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 7 p.m. The exhibition will be opened by Magdalena Juříková, director of the GHMP; exhibition curator Jan Mlčoch will talk about its concept. Josef Janíček from The Plastic People of the Universe and Hana Hroudová will play at the opening.
The exhibition will last until February 23, 2025 in the House of Photography. Open daily except Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The exhibition will present the collective work of an important photographer who moved in different environments and on different continents. The photographs of Helena Wilsonová (*1937, Návarov, today Zlatá Olešnice, † 2019, Toronto, Canada) are characterized by strong empathy and an effort to provide a dignified interpretation of everyone, even a socially excluded environment. the art scene at the time of normalization.
The exhibition is held in cooperation with the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague. The exhibition program of the Gallery of the City of Prague is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
