About event
It is hard to imagine the Slovak music scene without these two legendary bands. Sonically, they go in different directions, but something unites them. Both started in the underground, and despite the fact that a sea of time has passed since the 80s, they have never betrayed their ideals. Bez ladu a sklad and Slobodná Europa have been friends for many years and have similar views on many topics, but only now have they agreed to go on tour together. "These concerts arose spontaneously in the dressing room at the last concert in Bratislava. Every year, we call bands that we like and that mean something to us. This year they were Bez ladu a skladu, and the enthusiasm for playing together was there from the beginning." said the singer of Free Europe about the joint Whiskey tour.
13. 12. 2024 Nitra, Nová Pekáreň
14. 12. 2024 Banská Bystrica, Robotnícky dom
Slobodná Európa has been one of the leading punk-rock'n'roll groups since its formation in 1989, and many of their songs are among the best on the Slovak scene. They currently play in the line-up Whiskey – vocals, Sveťo – guitar, vocals, Peťo Bálik – guitar, Rasťo Gore – bass guitar, vocals, Tuleň – drums.
Bez ladu and warehouse were formed in 1985 as an underground group on led by the then only 13-year-old Michal Kaščák, who sang metaphorical lyrics with bold criticism of the political regime at the time. In 2009, the American New York Times included them among the groups that contributed to the fall of the Iron Curtain. The current line-up consists of Michal Kaščák – vocals, Martin Beďatš – guitar, Peter Kaščák – bass guitar, Richard Rybníček – drums, Rasťo Kubica – saxophone, Peter Kohout – saxophone.
A unique opportunity to enjoy both legends on one stage. Steamrollers, Fraud, Everyone writes with a blue pen, The packing house... There will be so many great hits in one evening that you shouldn't miss it! It's Only Underground (but I like it)!
