creative, raw, open and unfiltered. Sloterplas Festival is a day full of sounds, flavors and faces that show what New West is made of. Taste ten cultures in one afternoon, catch a show, try a sport and snack something you have never tasted before. That's how we do it here.

The festival is for those who live here and for everyone who wants to see what this side of the city has to offer. Do not expect a slick faรงade, but the real work: music, street theater, eating with spice, creative acts, sports and a market full of character. Local, internationally, everything mixed - just like the neighborhood itself.

Come dance, chill, look or just hang with the neighborhood. Singer-songwriters, hip hop, soul, dance and street theater set the tone. Artists from here and there, but always entirely in tune with the neighborhood.

From worldly flavors to trusted scents and combinations that you did not see coming but working. Je eet met je handen, maakt een praatje met een vreemde, en voor je het weet sta je in de rij voor iets wat je niet kent โ โโgewoon omdat iedereen het doet en het verdacht goed ruikt.

The sports side of Nieuw-West also shows itself. From kickboxing to basketball and from football to yoga: the local clubs are ready. You only have to show up. No registration forms, no hassle - just try and see what clicks.
