About event
The Slovak Cultural Torch will visit cultural institutions in the city of Martin.
Program:
➤ Turčianska galéria Martin
From 16:00, videos from other cities recorded as part of the Slovak Cultural Torch campaign will be shown publicly
Between 16 :00 - 18:00 there will be a contact campaign, when passers-by will be able to talk about the point of view of local cultural actors on the actions and policies of the Ministry of Culture
➤ March with the Slovak Cultural Torch:
At 18:00 we will go for a walk through the city together with the Slovak Cultural Torch. The torch will visit each institution and symbolically light a candle at each of them.
➤ Cafe BREPT:
19:00 will be the end of the Slovak Cultural Torch in the theater cafe BREPT, where another informal discussion with the organizers will take place Martinská SKP and people participating in the cultural strike.
A traveling book will also be available in which you can write our wishes for culture in the new year.
❗We jointly demand:
➤ Professional and competent management of the department of culture and the cessation of purposeful destruction of the sector by its current management
➤ Immediate cessation of ideologically motivated censorship with economic impacts, which are implemented through a department-controlled grant support system
➤Immediate financial stabilization of the sector with an emphasis on improving the evaluation and working conditions of working people across the spectrum of established and non-established organizations
🌟 Follow the route of the Slovak Cultural Torch on our social networks and join the relay in your city.
🤝 We stick together!
