About event
Already on December 5, the Slovak Cultural Torch of Trnava will be lit. Join the relay protest, carry the light with us in dark times when we have to stick together in culture.
🔥 As a sign of support for the Cultural Strike, the Torch will be placed on the balcony of the Hall of Mirrors of the Ján Palárik Theatre. They will pass the torch in relay:
16.00 h - 16.30 h / Zet - Zeleneč Theater
16.30 h - 17.00 h / ETAPY Theater
17.00 h - 17.30 h / THE.ART.RE UCM University Theater
17.30 h - 18.00 h / Eva K. Šrubařová
From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Torch will move to the Ján Koniark Gallery, where it will be open to the public as part of the opening.
The program of the Slovak Cultural Torch in Trnava will close again in the Ján Palárik Theater building. From 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., members of the DJP acting troupe will take turns at the Torch.
A travel book will also be available in which you can write your wishes for culture in the new year.
< br/>❗Together we demand:
➤ Professional and competent management of the department of culture and stopping the purposeful destruction of the sector by its current management
➤ Immediate cessation of ideologically motivated censorship with economic impacts, which are implemented through a department-dominated grant support system
➤Immediate financial stabilization of the sector with an emphasis on improving the evaluation and working conditions of people working across the spectrum of established and non-established organizations
🌟 Follow the route of the Slovak Cultural Torch on our social networks and join the relay in your city.
