About event
Already on December 11, the Slovak Cultural Torch of Blue will be lit. Join the relay protest, carry the light with us in the dark times when we have to stick together in culture.
🔥 You can join the torch from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Náměstí Ľudovíta Štúr, where cultural workers and activists from our region will take turns.
A traveling book will also be available, in which you can write down your wishes for culture in the new year.
❗We jointly demand:
➤ Professional and competent management of the department of culture and stopping the purposeful destruction of the sector by its current leadership
➤ Immediate stopping of ideologically motivated censorship with economic impacts, which is implemented through a department-dominated grant system support
➤Immediate financial stabilization of the sector with an emphasis on improving the evaluation and working conditions of people working across the spectrum of established and non-established organizations
🌟 Follow the route of the Slovak Cultural Torch on our social networks and join the relay in our city.
🤝 We stick together!
