Already 7.12. will light the Slovak Cultural Torch Trenčín. Join the relay protest, carry light with us in dark times when we have to stick together in culture.
🔥We will meet at 3:30 p.m. in front of Perla, then the torch will pass by the hospital and the Ľudovít Štúr Gymnasium. From 17.00 to 17.30 you will find us in front of the Lúč club on Mierov námestí, where you will be able to write your wish for culture in 2025 in the traveling chronicle, and then the torch will go past the FOR MAAT gallery to the Meriny area, where we will end the march with a symbolic toast in front of the Nová vlna gallery.
A traveling book will also be available, in which you can write down your wishes for culture in the new year.
❗We jointly demand:
➤ Professional and competent management of the department of culture and stopping the purposeful destruction of the sector by its current leadership
➤ Immediate stopping of ideologically motivated censorship with economic impacts, which is implemented through a department-dominated grant system support
➤Immediate financial stabilization of the sector with an emphasis on improving the evaluation and working conditions of people working across the spectrum of established and non-established organizations
