Slovenská otázka s Jurajom Buzalkom: Ľudovít Štúr

The discussion series with the social anthropologist Juraj Buzalko and his guests tries to reveal the patterns of leadership that influence the form of Slovak progress, based on debates about the leaders of Slovakia. Štúr's work was primarily focused on defining a modern nation, mobilizing and emancipating broad sections of society. The key question is how he managed - much more after his death than during his life - to become the leader of Slovak nationalism? What in the social organization of politics or in the ideology of Slovak nationalism from the actions and image of the first leader of modern Slovakia is still active today? How does Štúr's founding romantic image affect us?

The discussion is led by Juraj Buzalka.

Guests: Peter Zajac, René Bílik
