Slovenské národné divadlo: Budete mať luft!

The artistic reflection of the tragedy, which even after less than a hundred years is silent. Tragedy caused by prejudices that are still alive. This sentence was heard by one of the inhabitants of the Roma district in Pobedim. An uncertain threat was a harbinger of a tragic event, which, according to several testimonies, attended dozens of people. The result of this raid was destroyed households, a number of injured and six victims - including a six -year -old child. seeks to capture the causes of this attack - personal, but especially the social factors that led to this event. The authors are based on authentic period materials and, in addition to the historical and documentary perspective, focus on finding parallels with the present. They perceive the Pobedim massacre as a symbol of the majority attitude of the majority of the Roma minority. Hate, contempt, stereotypes and prejudices against the background of this attack are difficult to distinguish from those that are common in many circles today. As once, they still encounter disinterest today.
