The fourth Tuesday of the month is approaching again, so I invite you to Válc - come play, sing and sit by the guitars. 🙂
This time we are near the solstice, that magical turning point when spring breaks into summer, the forces of nature reach their peak and the ancient pagan fires welcome the coming summer. Nature plays its strongest song at that time and long days invite to meet. So let's have a little solstice fun, stay together, sing and stock up on light, joy and energy for the coming summer days. 🙂
Of course, if you also arrive with some solstice pagan outfit or artifact, you get extra points, we will enjoy the solstice atmosphere more and we won't have to blend in like pagans :-)
I am again listing the event as public, so anyone who wants to play, sing or just listen to songs from genres that sound in on trains, by campfires, on the water or in the Brda forests.
We start at 7:30 p.m. so that we have time to chat, and from about 8:00 p.m. we will mainly be playing. Sometime after 11 p.m., we will slowly go home again. 🙂
Everyone who likes to play, sing or just come to listen is invited.
Talking is of course also possible - just please to the extent that it does not disturb the players, the singers and especially the listeners. 😃
As always, there will be an opportunity to eat and drink well and maybe learn some new songs from the American prairies, from the Brda fires, from the Posázavské Pacifik or from Žižkovské hospod.
If you feel like it, bring your musical instruments with you. And if you know of beings who might like the event, please forward them an invitation - they are welcome. :-)
Those who want to be completely "in" can Google in advance or play on YouTube the songs of Marko Čermák's Paběrky, Hop-Trop, Zelenáči, White Stars, Pacifik, Hoboes, Kapitán Kid, etc. But don't worry - we'll also play better-known songs, for example by Klíče or Spiritual Kvintetu. Just according to taste and mood. 🙂
What to bring: anyone who wants to play, blow or rattle to the rhythm of country and tramp songs can bring an instrument. 😃 Others mainly a good mood - or at least the desire to take it home from playing.
Where: clubhouse of the Válec association, Polská 1a (back tract of Sokol). From the main entrance of Sokol, turn left, after about 30 meters turn right. You go through the car gate (next to it 🙂), after about 20 meters turn right again and then straight through a long yard. After about 80 meters, the Válec clubhouse is on the left - you can recognize it by the "Svijany" beer sign. If you can advise at the Sokol concierge, or you can call me at 736 six48 six45.
As always, there will be quality refreshments on site - alcoholic and non-alcoholic, draft and draft, as well as something good from home cooking.
Since Sokol (the owner of the building where Válec rents the clubhouse) has significantly increased the rent due to energy costs and inflation, an entrance fee of CZK 50 per person is now charged for the event so that the clubhouse can remain in operation. Payment is made by crediting the amount to the account at the bar.
